Swimming classes for babies are really more about teaching the parents, than teaching the baby. The objective is to get your newborn to feel comfortable with water, and to ultimately learn simple basic skills, like holding the breath when briefly immersed. It's also a great time for parent and baby to bond and play in a fun new environment.

When introducing babies to the swimming pool, they obviously require full support and assistance from an adult to help them. A variety of different “holds” and support postures are suitable for babies as they increase in age, ability, and their level of comfort in the pool. We'll cover these things, plus important safety concerns, and I'll teach you fun games and exercises which you and baby can practice whenever you are able to get to the pool together.

Introducing your baby to the swimming pool at a young age is a great way to stimulate and play with them, while at the same time, setting the foundation up for a child who is confident in the water from a young age.
